Our Management Team
Sam Honeyborne – Founder, Owner and Managing Director
Sam founded the organisation in October 1995 and has been involved in the data and telecommunication industry for over 30 years. He is a true entrepreneur and under his vision CFS has evolved in step with the industry over the last 22 years. Sam has the courage and tenacity to seize opportunities whilst also assisting others to achieve their goals. His Christian faith provides the value system within which he manages the organisation to great success. Sam’s work ethic speaks of passion and commitment whilst striving for perfection. Sam continuously invests in Research & Development as a business principle in order to ensure CFS continues to be the partner of choice for many Telecommunication Infrastructure companies within South Africa. As Managing Director, he also provides the strategic and operational leadership on a daily basis.
Schalk Bothma – Western Cape Territory Manager
Schalk is a veteran in the data and telecom distribution industry. He founded and ran his distribution business for 16-years before joining forces with Cable Feeder Systems Africa. Having grown up with computers and computer training in the family he completed various computer courses very early on in life, and successfully completed among other things A+, N+, MCSE and MCSD courses whilst working as a computer technician. Whilst running his own business, he successfully attained his RCDD qualification and completed various technical and business management training courses. Having a keen understanding of what is needed in the distribution industry and a strong technical background, Schalk has the ability to assist clients with the needed expertise and service levels to guarantee successful projects and business requirements.
Antionette Smit – Head of Human Resources and Head of Finance
Antionette has been part of our team since 2002. She completed a Bcom Financial Management degree in 2008 and subsequently worked as an accountant in our accounting department. She was then appointed Head of Finance, where she is responsible for all areas of finance and administration including payroll, accounts payable and receivables, job costing, cash management, general ledger, inventory, banking, reconciliations and taxation. In addition she also provides strategic human resources and talent acquisition services to our business across both our office locations in South Africa. Antionette enjoys problem solving, providing timely and relevant analyses, and working as a team to grow our company.
Marcel Du Plessis – Head of Marketing
Marcel is a true veteran within the tele and datacom industry. He has been with CFS for over 20 years and has contributed significantly in a number of senior roles within the organisation. His in-depth technical knowledge has given him a platform to excel in various functions including Sales, Product Marketing, IT and Training. Marcel is a graduate of the University of Orange Freestate. His technical background is very comprehensive, going back to Radio Frequency & Microwave Technology solution selling in the early 2000’s. Marcel is currently the Head of Marketing and is also responsible for our MEGAinstaller program and acts as the Warranty Authority within CFS.
Jackie Bezuidenhout – Sales Development Manager
Jackie has more than 13 years’ experience in the Sales industry. She joined the CFS team as an Account Manager in 2010. During this time she managed to build, obtain and maintained relationships, looking after key accounts. She has progressed to her current position as Sales Development Manager in 2018. Jackie enjoys all aspects of her work and approaches each new sale opportunities with enthusiasm and passion, helping to establish and grow the sales department alongside co-manager Janine. As well as managing the sales team, Jackie continues to maintain relationships with key clients. She enjoys working with people, thrives in a team environment and enjoys building relationships both personally and professionally. Jackie has a strong desire to learn and understand your business needs and to ensure that Cable Feeder Systems meet those needs. She loves the outdoors, jogging, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Sydney Hartzenberg – Western Cape Sales Manager
Sydney has worked his way through the ranks within the data and telecom distribution industry over a 14-year period. He has a deep understanding of each facet of the business, which enables him to provide exceptional customer service. Sydney is currently the Western Cape Sales Manager for Cable Feeder Systems and he leads our Account Manager team within the territory. When he is not looking after the needs of our customers he is extremely involved in his local community’s outreach programs and loves tinkering away on his computers.
Samantha Honeyborne – Head of Internal Sales
Samantha joined CFS as an Internal Sales Representative in 2007. During this time she has gained experience in various departments which has given her the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of CFS’ operational functions. She has contributed significantly, firstly as Internal Sales Supervisor and was subsequently promoted to Head of Internal Sales. Her department plays an important role in supporting our field sales teams which ensures smooth sales operations. Under Samantha’s meticulous approach her team functions optimally in order to serve our customers best. Samantha is a true team player and she firmly believes that all business functions have an integral role to play in our company’s success.
Cherinne De Klerk – Head of Procurement
Cherinne joined the CFS team in 2007 in the purchasing department. She works very closely with all areas of our business in order to provide a procurement model that includes strategic sourcing, stock management, negotiation, cost-management, risk-management, and on-going supplier relationship management. She has built substantial local and international telecommunication infrastructure supplier relationships over the years. She enjoys the challenges that comes with this role in order to provide the best possible solutions to our customers. She enjoys working with people, maintaining good relationships and she approaches everyday as a learning opportunity in every aspect. She is very excited about her future at CFS.
Nicky Khumalo – Warehouse Manager Johannesburg
Nicky has been with CFS for over twenty years and plays an integral role in our order fulfillment function. Our warehouse carries thousands of stock items at any given time and Nicky and his team oversee our stock preparation, picking and packing prior to delivery. Under Nicky’s leadership his team is responsible to ensure inbound stock is accounted for, checked for quality, moved or stored in appropriate locations, efficiently utilising space. They are also responsible for general warehouse maintenance ensuring all crates, pallets and waste is correctly dealt with.
Petrus Skosana – Dispatch Manager
Petrus has been with CFS for over twenty years and works as Dispatch Manager within our order fulfillment function. Our customer satisfaction is of utmost importance and ensuring accuracy within our order management process is an important aspect of Petrus’ daily function. Petrus works closely with our team of drivers to ensure our customers receive their orders on time. He plans logistics including routing and also works closely with logistics companies to ensure deliveries are made. Petrus also oversees the dispatch of goods requested for collection.
