Consolidation Points or Multi-User Telecommunications Outlets (MUTO) are intended to provide increased flexibility and economy for installations where open office spaces require frequent reconfiguration.
Consolidation Points are intended for interconnection between horizontal cables extending from building pathways and horizontal cables extending into furniture pathways. Consolidation Point enclosures are frequently required to be installed in ceiling voids or raised floors.
The advantage of a MUTO is that it provides a completely modular solution for work area changes. It provides customers with easy access for work area changes. MUTO ‘s should not be installed in ceiling spaces or raised floors to allow easy access and modularity.
Molex Premise Networks Consolidation Point/MUTO Enclosure features 8 shuttered PowerCat 6A modules housed in a rugged steel enclosure, which protects incoming cable , but allows ready access to the Telecommunications Outlet links. Two enclosures may be interconnected allowing for expansion.
