Synergy DG+ box is a small 1-port solution for surface mounted user outlets, for example in open space offices. The box accommodates one Category 6A Data Gate+shuttered module. Twisted-pair cable can enter the box from the sides or the base of the box. Unlike in other available products, the KATT Insulation Displacement Connector (IDC) contacts are V-shaped and flexible. That is why the contacts flex only slightly when connecting conductors, thus minimising fatigue and extending the product life. With the enhanced housing shape, installation is now easier: conductors are arranged in their slots
almost automatically, and the stuffer cap fully protects wires in place. The double colour coding system enables 568A or 568B conductor configuration.. The RJ-45 port has a unique automatic shutter that keeps the jack clean inside and ensures correct connections. A spring loaded mechanism in the module closes the shutter every time a patch cord is unplugged. Any incorrectly inserted plug is ejected by the spring loaded mechanism, which eliminates dummy connections that do not enable transmission but make fault detection more difficult. Moreover, the moving shutter wipes all jack contacts clean upon
each connect/disconnect, minimising potential maintenance effort. The DataGate+ modules can be labelled individually using special label holders that come in more than ten colours.
